Little Chapel

This is where the hike stops. There were two stories told as to why this chapel was built. The boring one is that some guy saw Mary in a vision on that spot, and built the tiny chapel there. If he was half as unfit as I am he was probably hallucinating from the restaurant onwards.

The other, more interesting story, was how a champion fighter was battling a bear on the purch where the chapel is found. At the climax of the battle, the bear rushed the champion and both fell from the mountain top. The drop would have been about 100 feet, and the champion was lucky enough to fall on the bear, which broke his fall and killed the bear. The champion praised God and erected the Chapel in return for his fortunate victory.
