Beer technology in Munich is intertwined with the spiritual history of the place. Apparently there was a sect of monks that along with vows of poverty and devotion to the lord, brewed this beer. And whilst in Adelaide we have a proud tradition of fine beer, our tradition doesn't stack up to much next to the Bavarian beer brewing monks. I may have been influenced by the heat of that day, but that beer was the best beer I have ever tasted.
